Patrick Donnelly is a PhD Student and Research Assistant in the Northeastern University Institute for Intelligent Networked Systems, studying under William Lincoln Smith Professor Tommaso Melodia. Beginning in 2024 as an undergraduate, he performed research under Prof. Melodia into underwater acoustic communication, focusing on signal recovery and channel equalization. He earned the degree of Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (summa cum laude) from Northeastern University in 2025 with departmental and university honors. In 2026, he officially joined the institute with a concentration in Communication, Control, and Signal Processing. His current research interests include ad-hoc autonomous networking and high-datarate underwater communication.
