Research Interests

Meghna Vaidya earned her M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University at Buffalo, State University of New York, under Dr. Melodia’s supervision. She received her Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communications with a minor in Business Administration and Management from Jaypee University of Information Technology, India in 2012. While at UB, she worked as a Web Researcher/Analyst for the Office of University Communications, where she was responsible for strategic planning for online communications and providing technological support to campus units participating in Digital Communications Transformation. Her master’s thesis focused on analyzing data from various social media channels and utilizing this data towards prediction models. Her research interests included implementation and performance analysis of turbo encoders and decoders under different channel conditions, as well as understanding user demographics and biases from social media data.
