Francesco Mancini holds a PhD in Electronic Engineering and a master’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Rome Tor Vergata. He is currently a researcher at CNIT National Laboratory of Network Assessment, Assurance and Monitoring (CNIT NAM LAB). His areas of expertise include software development, cloud computing, cybersecurity, mobile networks, and IoT. His research focuses on system and network security, with an emphasis on automating security assurance in 5G cloud-native infrastructures. He teaches the penetration testing class (Vulnerability and Defense of Internet Systems) within the Internet Engineering degree program at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”. His research experience includes collaborations with CNIT in the area of cybersecurity, working on several research projects such as the European H2020 SPARTA and the Italian National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRPP) RESTART.
