Aswanth is a Research Engineer, he supports the Open6G Open Testing and Integration Center (OTIC), the first US-based OTIC officially recognized by the O-RAN ALLIANCE. He builds and maintains the OTIC testbed infrastructure and performs integration and conformance testing on commercial Open RAN equipment.

He was a major contributor to the massive MIMO RU conformance certification for an Amplitech Group (NASDAQ: AMPG) radio, among the O-RAN certifications issued by the Open6G OTIC. His testing work spans S-plane synchronization, C/U-plane conformance, DLM and beamforming, and 3GPP conformance tests on O-RU hardware. He also contributes to the OpenAirInterface5G project, where he has fixed issue-board bugs and upstreamed a fix for NGAP reconnection in the open-source 5G stack. His work covers RF, computer engineering, and networking, using software-defined radios and Keysight test equipment to validate that Open RAN products meet compliance and interoperability standards.
